Buttock augmentation is a procedure that reshapes and enhances your gluteal area, providing you with an uplifted and shapelier buttock profile. This procedure is recommended for people who has flat, square, loose and sagging buttock shape.
At Lelux Hospital the buttock augmentation is performed using silicone implantation. As the silicone will be placed in the gluteal area, there will be a lot of movement in this area which would create more pressure than the breast area. Therefore, the material use inside the silicone bag will be high cohesive gel which has more intensity than normal silicone bag.
The procedure will be performed under general anesthesia; the implants will be placed through an incision made either where the check meets the back of the thigh or in the buttock crease where the scar is not as explicit. The surgeon will create a pocket large enough to place the butt implants. Once the implant is placed, the incisions are closed and a compression garment is applied. The procedure will take about 2-3 hours and the full recovery would take several months.
The first 24 hours are best spent resting. You must have someone with you at all times for the first 24 hours and he/she must also read these instructions carefully. You should have someone assist you when you first start ambulating (moving around).
After 48 hours, you may take a shower or sponge bath and do not worry about getting the tapes or drains wet. Do not take a bath or submerge the incision under water for 3 weeks.
You may not sit or lay on your buttocks or the grafted for two weeks after surgery. You should sleep on your stomach or lie on your stomach on the sofa. You may use a recliner as opposed to sitting straight up. When using the toilet, keep your weight on the backs of your thighs, not on your buttocks.
Wear the support stockings for at least 1 week after surgery or until fully active.
Some bruising and swelling is normal in the immediate post-operative period. This will gradually decrease over the first few weeks.
